Will Heaven Be Your Home?

The Way to Eternal Life

John 3:16 declares, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God loves you and wants a personal relationship with you, giving you eternal life. You will find the following biblical truths to be of utmost help:

KNOW THAT GOD LOVES YOU

1. All Have Sinned

God's Word tells us that we've all sinned. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." The word sin means to miss the mark, or come short of perfection, by disobeying God. At one time or another, we have all chosen to disobey God.

2. Sin Has a Penalty

The payment for sin is death, eternal separation from God in a place called Hell. This is the fate of every person who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. Romans 6:23 warns, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus said in John 3:18, "He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed on the name of the Only Begotten Son of God."

3. Jesus Paid the Penalty

God has proven His love by giving His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sin. Jesus died in your place, paying the penalty for your sin. Romans 5:8 relates, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

BELIEVE ON JESUS TODAY

To believe on Jesus Christ as Savior simply means to believe, by faith, that He died for your sin, was buried, rose again from the grave, and is the only means of salvation. The expression of faith is through prayer. Romans 10:9 instructs, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

ACCEPT CHRIST TODAY

"Dear Jesus, I know that I deserve Hell. I believe that you love me, died on the cross, paid the price for my sin, and rose again from the grave. Please forgive my sin and be my Savior. Thank you for the gift of salvation. Help me live a life for your glory. In Jesus' name, amen." Romans 10:13 promises, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
